On a sunny July day, Nicole and Corbin celebrated their love in front of family and friends at the stunning Armour House at Lake Forest Academy. Chelsea of the Gilded Aisle Weddings, was so fortunate to be a part of the wedding day celebrations. Additionally, she loved working with such a fabulous vendor team who helped make the day run so smoothly.

Wedding Day Beauty Prep at The Armour House

Our bride started off her morning with her bridesmaids in Armour House’s classroom space. First, our beauty team for the day, Patty McGuire Hair & Makeup Artists made sure to keep the girls on schedule for their hair and makeup (which is important!) while not rushing and taking their time to make sure everyone got the look they wanted.

It’s always a bonus when you can get ready at your reception space as you don’t waste valuable photography time traveling between locations.

Once arriving, guests were guided around the outside of the Armour House to their seats along the gardens. After a grand entrance from the Armour House down the floral and grass aisle-way, the couple said their “I Do’s” in front of the fountain and two stunning floral arrangements created by Avant Gardenia.

Following the ceremony, guests were guided to the brick patio space where drinks and appetizers were waiting for them. The indoor library space with stunning wood warm features was also open to guests with a full bar who may have been getting a little hot in the summer heat. Nicole and Corbin added a unique touch to their cocktail hour by renting a vintage Rolls Royce car which made for amazing photos!

Nicole and Corbin chose a light and airy color palette for their florals and decor. These colors complimented the white walls and elegance of the Armour House beautifully. The couple decide to go with a sweetheart table. This allowed for a perfect view of all their guests and the stunning staircase presented at the end of the hall.

A memorable night

Dancing took place in the Armour House’s Garden Room. Guests had easy access to take a break at their seats or head outside for a bit of fresh air. Nicole and Corbin danced the night away to the sounds of Dave Rothstein’s fabulous live band.
