A Chicago Illuminating Company Wedding

On one of the busiest wedding days in Chicago on Saturday, September 4, 2021, Marlena and Michael said their I do’s at Holy Trinity Polish Church. The wedding festivities capped off at the fabulous Chicago Illuminating Company. The Gilded Aisle was so honored to be a part of this wonderful couple’s big day and what a fabulous day it was!

Our bride started off her morning with her bridesmaids in one of the suites at the Renaissance Hotel Downtown. Our beauty team for the day, Lucy and Adya were very professional and made sure to keep the girls on schedule for their hair and makeup (which is important!) while not rushing and taking their time to make sure everyone got the look they wanted.

The fun and excitement throughout the morning could not have been captured without the most amazing team of photographers. Alexa Adams with Adams Photography and assistant photographer Kayleigh Hesler fully captured Marlena and Michael’s pure joy from the day which is clearly presented in all their photos.

Wedding Ceremony at Holy Trinity Polish Church

The ceremony was beautiful with our bride and groom seeing each other for the first time as Marlena walked down the aisle. Marlena and Michael also made it a point to have a live stream of their wedding so those who could not make it due to Covid-19 travel restrictions could enjoy the ceremony as well.

Wedding Reception at Chicago Illuminating Company

When arriving at Chicago Illuminating Company for the reception, all we can say is WOW! The space is so welcoming with the white walls/ceiling and light wood floors. The stunning, clear-top tent that takes away all our weather fears. The centerpieces, designed by Vale of Enna, consisted of a few tall table arrangements as well as low table arrangements with a focus on various white flowers and greenery surrounded by candles. The head table stole the show with a 20-foot long tall bridge of florals and greenery with hanging glass orb candles. Chicago Illuminating Company’s glass shelving was used to showcase pictures of the happy couple along with photos of their parents, grandparents, and of course their sweet pup.

Guests were entertained during cocktail hour by The Amazing Bibek who delighted everyone with his incredible slight-of-hand tricks.

A memorable night

Both cocktail hour and dinner were executed perfectly by the Boka Catering. The team ran exactly on schedule throughout the entire evening and delivered the most impeccable food and drinks. Molly’s Cupcakes created a beautiful two tiered cake along with delicious mini cupcakes for guests to enjoy for dessert. The bride and groom also surprised their guests with a delicious late-night Crepe Truck. The evening was full of dancing from the minute the dance floor opened, until sadly the night came to an end. We hope our couple will remember this day always as we most definitely will!
